- ➤ Murfreesboro's Community Development Department expanded its Affordable Housing Assistance program to help first-time homebuyers meet HUD guidelines by raising down payment support from $10,000 to up to $50,000. Applicants can join the in-person homebuyer training workshop at the Municipal Airport on Feb. 11 and submit applications by Feb. 27. WGNS
- ➤ The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Community Engagement Unit is offering free blue envelopes for autistic drivers at 940 New Salem Highway. The envelopes (designed to signal that a driver needs extra time and support) help officers use clear communication during traffic stops. WGNS
