- ➤ Rutherford County Fire Rescue responded just before 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20 to a fire at Wat Amphawan—a Thai Buddhist temple on Barfield Crescent Road—where firefighters quickly controlled the flames while one occupant safely evacuated despite extensive damage. WGNS

- ➤ The 2nd Annual Oreo Festival will take place on Saturday, Mar. 28 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. indoors at the MTSU Livestock Center, featuring Oreo-inspired treats, food trucks, games, and family fun with free parking and admission. Rutherford County Source

- ➤ Former MTSU men’s basketball coach Kermit Davis learned during halftime on Saturday at Murphy Center that he will be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
