- ➤ The 85th Annual Middle TN Strawberry Festival with the theme Berry Proud to be an American will occur Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. Friday features a Strawberry Jam Concert and Fireworks starting at 5 p.m. and Saturday offers over 250 vendors, multiple stages, a kids’ area, and a 4 p.m. parade. Rutherford County Source

- ➤ The Tennessee high school girls basketball state tournament will run from March 11-14 at Middle Tennessee State's Murphy Center with 32 teams competing in four classifications (Classes 2A and 3A start on March 11 while 1A and 4A begin on March 12). The Daily News Journal
- ➤ Blackman girls basketball advanced to the TSSAA Division I state tournament after beating Nolensville 48-45 on Saturday at Blackman High School & rallied from a seven point deficit to secure their eighth state tournament spot.
