- ➤ A Middle Tennessee company, The Magic Dog Bus, is hiring a dog bus driver to pick up and drop off dogs in Mount Juliet with service running every weekday. - ➤ The Murfreesboro Punk Rock Flea Market will be held Saturday, April 5 from 12 PM — 10 PM at Hop Springs on John Bragg Hwy, drawing over 100 vendors, food trucks, and local punk bands to energize the area. Rutherford County Source
- ➤ On March 29, the MTSU Cosplay Club held its spring semi-formal at the James Union Ballroom where students danced, showcased creative costumes, and enjoyed a silent auction and raffles. - ➤ On March 27, the General Assembly passed House Bill 793 in an 11-7 vote that lets school districts choose to either educate undocumented K-12 students or require paid tuition (if free education is denied). - ➤ Rutherford County opened its new Public Health and Safety buildings as storm shelters on Sunday night, March 30 at 10:30 p.m. in response to a Tornado Watch that remained until 3:00 a.m.—the four sites in Readyville, Lascassas, Rockvale, and Walter Hill offered safe options for residents, county officials said. - ➤ Middle Tennessee State's outfielder Nathan Brewer hit two home runs and recorded four RBIs in Friday's 12-8 win against FIU, marking his first career multi-home run game though the Blue Raiders lost the series 2-1.
