- ➤ Retired Judge Steve Daniel accepted a Quilt of Valor on April 18 from the Captain William Lytle DAR Chapter in Rutherford County + his quilt honored his military service. He said he felt humbled by the recognition and accepted it on behalf of all service members. Murfreesboro Post
- ➤ A historic building at 116 North Walnut Street received a $5,000 property enhancement grant from Main Street Murfreesboro after spring exterior renovations (Walnut House). Local owners can apply for similar funding until May 11, with winners announced by June 8. WGNS

- ➤ Residents can explore local history at Cannonsburgh Village this Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm during Pioneer Days, which features over 30 craft vendors, live demonstrations (like blacksmithing, basket weaving, and pottery), musical acts and food trucks.
