- ➤ Authorities are searching for the driver who fled after fatally striking 67 year old Orrin Craig Murray while he walked along Old Nashville Highway near Murray Lane early Thursday morning near his La Vergne home—witnesses are urged to contact highway patrol with any information. NewsChannel 5
- ➤ A Murfreesboro resident discovered a $1 million identity theft scheme when a credit check revealed that her name was used to fraudulently purchase two homes and two vehicles (a 2020 Nissan Sentra and a 2023 Nissan Rogue), and police advised her to freeze her Social Security number while the investigation spans multiple jurisdictions. - ➤ Murfreesboro Police are investigating human remains found in a locked 2007 Hummer at a local tow yard on May 1 — tow company employees discovered the body after finding flies and a strong odor, an autopsy has been requested and both E.A.
