  • Murfreesboro resident Brendon Donoho is fighting book bans by offering 150 banned titles via his free website borobannedbooks.com for Rutherford County readers; he sometimes delivers books directly to locals to ensure access.  The Daily News Journal
  • The Free Day in May Event will take place on Sunday, May 17 at Oaklands Mansion where visitors can enjoy self-guided tours, a 1:00 p.m. live performance and a vintage baseball pickup game at noon.
