Today, PAWS of Rutherford County hosts three massive cats and several loving dogs in need of forever homes—neighbors are invited to consider adoption.

The shelter hopes these pets will soon find a safe, caring family.

A plea hearing is set for May 14—at the Rutherford County Circuit Court in Murfreesboro—for Juan Charco, who faces charges of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, theft, reckless endangerment and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony after last May's shooting outside a busy gas station on Joe B. Jackson Parkway, where Devon Loritts was fatally shot and his brother injured.
