- ➤ Home video shows a young man armed with an AR style handgun breaking into vehicles overnight Tuesday in the Blackman community, and a stolen credit card was used at a Waffle House in Donelson, leading deputies to believe the suspect may live in Nashville—burglaries occurred on Burnt Knob Road, Sugartree Drive, Ruby Oaks Lane and Shelly Plum Drive. - ➤ On May 6, Tennessee’s governor announced that the state budget now provides TDOT with $80 million in recurring funds and $1 billion in one-time funds for 96 projects, including a new interstate trade route on I-24 between Nashville and Murfreesboro—money reallocated from the Tire Sales Tax. Governor Bill Lee said the funding will boost road safety without raising taxes and was called fiscally responsible by other state officials. WGNS
