- ➤ The 33rd Annual Secret Garden Party will take place Friday, June 6 from 7 PM to 10 PM at the home of Amanda and Sen. Shane Reeves to benefit the Discovery Center—an event limited to adults 21 and older. - ➤ Two siblings, Dontorius Hamler and Donzalai Hamler, were convicted through a plea deal for the killing of 18-year-old Taia Nagena Bryant when police responded to a burning car on Leave Avenue on May 31, 2021 — their sentences, accounting for time served, will end in 2030 and 2031 while the investigation continues with possible additional arrests. - ➤ Local singer Mattie Pruitt was eliminated from American Idol on May 11 during the Disney Night episode—she received praise from judge Luke Bryan for her performance of 'Remember Me' from Coco.
