- ➤ Stones River National Battlefield and Cemetery will hold commemorative events from May 23-26 to honor military service members. Youth groups will place flags on headstones on May 23 at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial ceremony on May 24 and guided walks on May 25 at the visitor center. Murfreesboro.com
- ➤ Yesterday, May 14, the Salvation Army hosted its annual Beyond the Bells luncheon at The View at Fountains, where community stories of hope were shared — and local partner SRM was honored for its 24‑state volunteer service. WGNS
- ➤ Stones River National Battlefield invites Rutherford County residents to honor fallen heroes with flag-placing on Saturday, May 23 by scouts and youth groups, a Memorial Day ceremony on Sunday, May 24, and guided history walks on Monday, May 25.
