- ➤ Three people escaped injury when a truck pulling a trailer caught fire on I-840 westbound Saturday morning as crews from Ladder 11 — Rescue 11 — and Engine 5 responded and closed all lanes to extinguish the flames. Rutherford County Source

- ➤ Murfreesboro Police Department detectives are investigating vehicle break-ins that happened Monday afternoon at the Fountains at Gateway, Manson Pike Trailhead, and the pickleball courts on Golf Lane—authorities say suspects wanted for burglaries, felony theft, credit card fraud, and vandalism were last seen in a silver Hyundai SUV carrying a Tennessee license plate BFB0638 that is registered to a different vehicle. - ➤ Early Monday morning, Murfreesboro Police arrested Damon Moody 21 of Murfreesboro and Fredrick Gates 21 of Smyrna after breaking into a car at an apartment complex on Bradyville Pike; officers responded at 1:24 a.m. after hearing loud banging and seeing men with flashlights and a 2018 Volkswagen with a broken window, and while Moody was released on an 8500 bond, Gates remains in custody on a 9000 bond—both face charges for burglary, theft, vandalism, and possession of burglary tools with Gates also charged for driving on a suspended license—with a court date set for August 4.
