Oaklands Mansion invites Rutherford County residents to the annual Lightning Bugs and Lemonade event on Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

United Communications introduced Outdoor Wi-Fi today, a service that extends internet coverage to patios, porches and pool areas for homes + businesses in Middle Tennessee.
The service is available as an add-on for existing plans with a $99 installation fee.

WGNS Radio is celebrating six nominations for the 2026 Tennessee Association of Broadcasters Excellence in Broadcasting Awards, including the state's top honor and nods for public service, talk, sports+digital media.

🎓 Education
Middle Tennessee State University is proposing a 4.5% increase in undergraduate tuition & fees for fall, which would raise tuition by $189 and fees by $59.50.
The board will review the proposals at 1 p.m. June 16 at the Miller Education Center, and public comments are accepted online until 4:30 p.m. June 11.

NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney, praised for his distinctive mustache at a Murfreesboro meet at Advanced Auto Parts, will compete in the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, June 7 (he also voiced a role in Cars 3).
Titans finalized a preseason schedule for August with three games planned.
They will play an away game at San Francisco on Aug. 13, host the Seahawks on Aug. 23, and face the Bears on Aug. 29 (TV details pending).
Wil Huddleston and Hagan Law tied as boys' medalists while Lyla Payne earned the girls' medalist honors yesterday at McCabe Course during the Schooldays Golf Tournament qualifying round.
