- ➤ Premier Athletics Murfreesboro held a ribbon-cutting after moving into a larger facility that lets more young cheer athletes train and reach their potential. The company, a community fixture since 2000, now offers expanded tumble classes for students from preschool to high school—preparing local athletes for school and college cheer teams. - ➤ Today, Downtown After 5 in Murfreesboro offers local shopping and dining from 5 to 8 p.m. Later this weekend, the Banana Pudding Festival at Hop Springs, Splash Days at Lucky Ladd Farms, the Great Tennessee Air Show at Smyrna and the Franklin Cocktail Festival in Franklin will offer family fun — events featuring free goodie bags, water activities, aerial stunts and outdoor cocktails. - ➤ Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department crews responded today to a fire in a home's attached garage on Liberty Drive—firefighters quickly evacuated residents, put out the flames, and found no injuries as the cause remains under investigation. Rutherford County Source
