- ➤ Tennessee’s sales tax holiday will run from 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 25 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 27—during this period clothing, school supplies and computers for personal use that meet price limits can be bought tax-free. Rutherford County Source

- ➤ Veterans in Murfreesboro will attend a hiring fair at the VA campus on Memorial Boulevard and Compton Road on July 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. run by the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System—another fair will occur in Nashville on July 18 offering jobs mainly for Veterans. WGNS
- ➤ On June 27th, Smyrna Airport held a ribbon cutting to mark the completion of a $13 million project that rebuilt Runway 1/19 with asphalt, regraded safety areas, perimeter roads, and a new LED lighting system.
