- ➤ A portion of the westbound lane of Interstate 24 in Rutherford County is closed as the sheriff’s office investigates a shooting that injured one person—traffic is diverted to exit 64 at Waldron Road with the closure expected to last until 2 p.m. NewsChannel 5
- ➤ A shooting occurred Saturday morning in the 2600 block of Murfreesboro Pike at a liquor store parking lot, leaving one man dead and another hospitalized — officials say both men were suspected in a drug-related armed robbery. FOX 17
- ➤ In McMinnville, law enforcement arrested Rutherford County sex offender Robert Gordon Johnson on July 10th after he allegedly tried to deliver a large quantity of fentanyl—officers stopped his vehicle after a tip led them to find fentanyl and LSD and he now faces multiple charges. WGNS
