- ➤ Rutherford County Library System will welcome Luanne R. James as its new director next week — replacing interim director Mindy Barrett and bringing over 25 years of library experience from Texas and South Carolina. James will lead the system as it adopts digital tools and meets evolving community needs. WGNS
- ➤ The City of Murfreesboro is moving ahead with the Town Creek restoration project and plans to finish the core structure and landscaping by fall 2026—this work will include daylighting the creek and building a new pedestrian bridge to boost local connectivity. The project is set to continue for another 12 to 14 months as it supports environmental improvements and economic redevelopment. WGNS
