- ➤ The Murfreesboro Police Department held a National Night Out event at Oakland Park Tuesday night—offering games, food, fellowship, music and discussions on mental health and addiction to build stronger ties between officers and residents. - ➤ A new 5G communications tower was installed on Fortress Boulevard by a private telecommunications company. City officials clarified that the tower is not tied to the Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center— it does not include surveillance tools. Rutherford County Source
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Rutherford County Schools resumed classes earlier this week with new device rules that require cell phones, laptops, tablets, and gaming devices to be put away during lessons (headphones are also not allowed) and Wednesday was a half-day while Friday will be the first full day.
