- ➤ On Aug. 6th, MTSU unveiled its new building with three floors and a $74.8 million budget for the Mechatronics Engineering program plus other Engineering Technology concentrations in front of over 200 attendees. - ➤ Yesterday, the Rutherford County Schools board updated its charter school policy to comply with new state laws that limit revoking low-performing charter schools and allocate funds for school facilities—ensuring the district follows state mandates. The board also approved county use of a local facility for first responders and an evidence-based sexual risk avoidance program for grades 6-12 taught with parental permission while announcing strong evaluation scores for Director Sullivan.
