- ➤ Teen drivers with a learner permit in Tennessee must drive with a licensed adult (aged 21 or older) in the front seat and are not allowed to drive alone or between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. They must hold the permit for 180 days and complete supervised driving hours before moving to an intermediate restricted license. - ➤ Tennessee’s free hunting day will begin on Aug. 23 as the squirrel season opens, allowing hunters to harvest up to 10 squirrels a day until March 15—hunters born on or after Jan. 1, 1969 must complete a hunter education course.
