- ➤ On Friday morning, Murfreesboro Fire Rescue and Police responded to a crash on NW Broad Street near Van Cleve Lane — a collision between a car and a motorcycle near the railroad tracks that caused injuries and delays while investigators examine the cause. Rutherford County Source

- ➤ Today, the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department launched Community Connect—a secure, citizen-driven platform that lets residents and business owners share vital safety information to help firefighters prepare for emergencies. - ➤ City officials and transportation leaders cut the ribbon for the new Murfreesboro Transit Center at 324 New Salem Hwy on Aug. 28—this facility with a passenger pavilion, maintenance building, and administration offices will open to the public on Sept. 8 to serve growing travel needs. The project was funded through TDOT IMPROVE ACT funds, federal dollars, and local matching funds and replaces the old hub at 222 W. Burton. Rutherford County Source
