- ➤ Today, MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee shared plans to turn the area at Greenland Drive and Middle Tennessee Boulevard into an entertainment and sports district for students, residents — and visitors. He also announced a public-private partnership that will replace nearly 50-year-old Womack Lane Apartments with a modern housing complex featuring over 550 suite-style beds, with lease approval set for November. - ➤ Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is moving forward with an MOU with ICE that allows deputies to serve immigration warrants only at the county jail—signed on August 28—with no change in their routine law enforcement duties.
