- ➤ 4Top Hospitality announced a new Southern-style steakhouse, Char Restaurant, is coming to Murfreesboro at The Exchange on 2305 Exchange Drive. Groundbreaking is planned later this year and the 6,600-square-foot site will open in 2027 and create 50 jobs—bringing live music, a piano bar and a modern menu of Southern favorites to the area. - ➤ World Outreach Church held its second Culture & Christianity Conference in Murfreesboro on Sept. 19 to honor Charlie Kirk, who was to speak before he was killed; 3,000 people listened as speakers called for strong conservative Christian values. Saturday morning saw a 100-mile Hammer Down for Habitat poker run starting at the Habitat office on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and the event includes live bluegrass, Americana, string music, dance showcases, artisan vendors— all accessible with a single parking fee.
