- ➤ Two Rutherford County school buses collided (at the intersection of Fergus Road and North Lowry Street in La Vergne) Monday morning, injuring one aide on the small bus while no students were hurt and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. WGNS

- ➤ United Communications launched its Make the Switch Giveaway to encourage Tennessee households to upgrade their internet service and win one of five Nintendo Switch 2 Bundles valued at $499.99+. - ➤ Tennessee drivers in Murfreesboro saw the state’s average gas price drop to $2.68 per gallon, which is three cents lower than last week and 11 cents cheaper than a year ago. - ➤ MTSU Tourism and Hospitality Management program director Elizabeth Whalen earned three major honors this year — including the Industry Educator of the Year Award from the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association in July and the Best Reviewer Award from the Journal of Teaching in Travel and Tourism. - ➤ TDEC will offer a mobile household hazardous waste collection service on Saturday, October 25 at Murfreesboro Solid Waste Department, 4765 Florence Rd., from 8 a.m. to noon+ all Tennesseans are invited to drop off items such as cleaning fluids, pesticides, and swimming pool chemicals for safe disposal.
