  • On Saturday, Nov 8, Middle Tennessee State University held its 43rd annual Salute to Veterans and Armed Forces game to honor hundreds of veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families with awards and special events.   • State Rep. John Ray Clemmons urged Middle Tennesseans to support local food banks as nearly 690,000 residents lost SNAP benefits on November 1 amid the federal shutdown, which spurred a surge in need at community distribution centers.
