Rutherford County Schools has launched a district-wide drive this November to collect non-perishable food and household supplies to support local families—donations can be dropped off at participating schools during regular hours.

The Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands will hold an open house event Friday, December 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 526 North Walnut Street—community members can learn about free legal help, ask questions, and honor local leader Cindy Gallaher.

Two Murfreesboro high schools traveled to East Tennessee for second-round state playoff games—Blackman beat Dobyns-Bennett 28–7 with a strong rushing attack while Riverdale lost 47–18 to Maryville.

Blackman will host Maryville in the third round on Friday at 7 p.m. CDT—setting up the next challenge for the local teams.
