  • The Rutherford County Farmers Market is hosting a community Thanksgiving shopping day on Friday, November 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 315 John R Rice Blvd. Local farmers and bakers will offer seasonal products such as turkey, artisanal breads, and desserts—shoppers may also win a giveaway basket by filling out a Meet-Your-Farmer card.  Murfreesboro.com
  • Operation Christmas Child launched National Collection Week, running November 17–24, and nearly 5,000 drop-off locations—including many in Tennessee—are open to gather gift-filled shoeboxes for children facing hardships worldwide.   • Southeast Baptist Church at 708 Minerva Drive will host its 41st Bethlehem Marketplace on December 6 and 7—an immersive walk-through featuring Roman soldiers, census takers, merchants, and live camels—expected to draw 6,000 to 8,000 visitors; organizers adjusted the dates to avoid conflicts with other holiday events.  WGNS
  • Hosted by the Stones River Crafts Association, the 32nd annual Art Studio Tour will run this weekend — Friday through Sunday from 10AM to 5PM daily — giving visitors a chance to explore local art studios, view live demonstrations, and meet local artisans.  WGNS

  • Experts from the University of Tennessee say a typical Thanksgiving dinner now costs $128.50 in Tennessee, up from $116.26 last year. They say prices rose due to costlier turkey, ham, and dairy products from avian influenza outbreaks—shoppers should plan ahead and use specials and coupons—to help keep meals affordable.  FOX 17
