A crew with the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System delivered Thanksgiving dinners to veterans in the HUD-VASH program at the Glastonbury Woods Apartments—about 430 veterans who have experienced homelessness received a meal through a coordinated effort with the YAIPAK non-profit. The service helped ensure these veterans have support during the holiday season.
The Journey Home moved into its new building at 1207 Old Salem Road in Murfreesboro in October to expand services for those in need—offering a Market for food and clothing, a Community Cafe for 50 clients, a Wells Clinic, and transitional family housing.
The upgraded facility now provides additional support through mental health counseling and a weekly Wellness Clinic.
