- ➤ YMCA locations in Middle Tennessee are hosting holiday initiatives to help families with drives for toys, coats, and hygiene essentials and a special non-sensory screening of A Charlie Brown Christmas on December 10, 7—8 p.m. Donations are accepted at different sites between December 4 and December 19 to support local students, food banks, and unhoused people. - ➤ Murfreesboro will begin its holiday season on December 5 at 6:00 p.m. at the historic Courthouse when the Rutherford County Christmas Tree Lighting kicks off, presented by Middle TN Electric. Families can enjoy free children’s activities, crafts, hot cocoa, caroling and live nativity performances, plus Santa will light the tree during stage acts while parking in the Public Square closes at 5:00 p.m. Rutherford County Source
- ➤ Pictures with Santa will take place on December 6th and 13th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Rutherford County Courthouse—where local families can meet Santa and capture holiday moments. The event is scheduled to offer a festive opportunity for community members. Rutherford County Source

- ➤ Silvestri Sweets Inc. recalled the Choceur Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark and Choceur Cookie Butter Holiday Bark—these products may have undeclared wheat and pecan allergens. ALDI removed the items from store shelves and advised customers to discard or return them for a full refund. Rutherford County Source

- ➤ Richland’s Jake Sands was named the Round 3 Main Street Preps Football Player of the Week after he rushed for 98 yards and scored two touchdowns on 21 carries in Richland’s 24-21 state playoff loss to McKenzie—he earned 66% of the fan vote over Kannon Burroughs and Knight Wilson.
