- ➤ The new Winter-Spring Rutherford County Farmers Market opens Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Lane Agri-Park, 315 John R. Rice Blvd. in Murfreesboro and brings festive holiday spirit through events such as a 10:00 a.m. showing of A Charlie Brown Christmas on December 5, Rice Krispy ornament decorating on December 12, and cookie decorating with a Santa visit on December 19—designed to unite neighbors and support local vendors. - ➤ Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation is preparing for the annual Christmas Parade on December 14 that will run from East Main Street near MTSU through downtown to Walnut Street. - ➤ Rutherford County Schools have opened the application window for 2026–2027 School Choice programs, offering magnet school options, open choice spots for traditional schools, and charter plus virtual school applications available year-round.
