- ➤ Billionaire heiress and CEO Lynsi Snyder is expanding In-N-Out into Tennessee as a shift from California's high costs. The Murfreesboro restaurant opens tomorrow while Lebanon and Antioch locations opened on Dec. 10, bringing animal style double-doubles to local fans. The Daily News Journal

- ➤ The CMA Foundation announced over 200 semifinalists for its Music Teachers of Excellence awards, including 60 from Tennessee featuring local educators Michael Aymett & Thomas Chesnut. Final winners will be named during Teacher Appreciation Week in May 2026. FOX 17
- ➤ Holloway High School (619 S. Highland Ave.) is hosting an open house today from 4-7 p.m. to display nearly 60 years of graduate photos and a diorama of the campus, with recorded remarks provided by Rutherford County Archives partnering with MTSU as part of a restoration project. - ➤ Middle Tennessee homeowners face rising tax bills, but seniors can lower their local property taxes by applying a federal deduction on 2025 filings up to $12,000 (or freeze their rate if income falls below the county threshold). - ➤ Blackman Blaze basketball teams swept Oakland at home Tuesday night in non-district play, with the girls winning 41-39 and the boys winning 58-37 in a game that featured strong rebounding and teamwork (Blackman is now 3-2 as Oakland sits 1-4). Murfreesboro Post
