- ➤ Murfreesboro officials revealed a proposed settlement with Middle Point Landfill and Republic Services to resolve a lawsuit filed in 2022 that requires environmental measures such as treatment systems for reducing forever chemicals — a public meeting to vote on the settlement is scheduled for Thursday, July 31 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
