- ➤ Steve Cates and his team are preparing for the next International Folkfest in Murfreesboro—set for June 7—14—where confirmed groups from France and Sicily will perform while groups from Germany, Croatia, and Italy are under consideration. The Cripple Creek Cloggers and The Slim Chance Band will represent the United States at the CIOFF Santarém Festival in Portugal from August 28—September 8, marking their first performance there since 1981.
