Centennial Park Conservancy announced the Kidsville Family Festival will return to Centennial Park on Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Musicians Corner Amphitheater — the free event will offer live music, mascot meet-and-greets, crafts, and food trucks for the whole family.

Roots Rendezvous, presented by Uncle Dave Macon Days, will run from September 19th to 21st at Hop Springs on John Bragg Highway and will feature the 100-mile Hammer Down for Habitat Poker Run to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity while offering live music, crafts, and classic vehicle displays. Festival Director Gloria Christy said the event will unite community members around bluegrass, clogging, and local artisan markets.

On 8/23, Club President Aurelia Holden said the 169-year-old Baskette-Woman’s Club home at East College and North Academy Streets is undergoing a multi-phase restoration that includes full rewiring and other major repairs.
