- ➤ Tennessee State Park System said it expanded colorblind viewfinders to 12 parks—ensuring all visitors can see fall’s bright colors. Middle Tennessee parks such as Tims Ford, Edgar Evins, Standing Stone, Savage Gulf, and South Cumberland will offer scenic hikes as leaves begin changing early October and peak from late October through early November. - ➤ The Murfreesboro Police Department received city council approval to buy more body cameras, an auto-tagging system, 34 license plate readers, and 26 park surveillance cameras to support its growing force—Police Chief Michael Bowen explained the new technology will improve evidence management. - ➤ On September 20th, the Blue Raiders lost their 28—21 lead at Floyd Stadium as Marshall scored three unanswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter and dropped the team to 1—3. - ➤ Residents in Murfreesboro can vote for the TSSAA boys athlete of the week for Sept. 15—20 from nominees including Blackman's Braxton Head, Micah Nance, Eagleville's Jonathan Jordan, MTCS' Alie Bangura, Oakland's Joel Wyatt, PCA's Jacob Meier, Riverdale's Jacob Vaughn, Rockvale's RC Chiha, Siegel's Braelyn Albea, Smyrna's Sucory Weathers and Stewarts Creek's Gabriel Gomer and Austin Felker.
